PERFORMING ARTS

ISSTA's Arts & Humanities track is designed to produce singers, musicians and other artists, stressing academic excellence and creative expression. Starting in 2nd grade, students will be exposed to music and poetry and over time, they will learn to identify, perform, and even play an instrument of their choice. During the four-year high school experience, students will be immersed in the theory and practice of their particular discipline. This track is organized into 2 divisions: Theater (musical theater), and Music (including programs in instrumental music, and vocal music, choir, (classical), band (concert), opera, and orchestra).
