Dr. Andre Garcia is a graduate from the University of Central Florida (2008) with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Behavioral Forensics. After UCF, he went on to get his masters and doctorate in Human Factors Engineering from George Mason University. Dr. Garcia then worked as a Post-Doc at the Army Research Lab’s Simulation and Training Technology Center and then as a human factors engineer at Northrop Grumman’s Aerospace Systems sector working on a number of combat aircraft systems including the B-2, Trainer-X, E-2D Hawkeye, and a number of other classified programs. Dr. Garcia is a graduate of UCF’s Executive MBA program and also has a certificate in Aerospace Program Management from CalTech and number of certificates in Systems Engineering, Program Management, and Science and Technology from Defense Acquisition University.

Andre has been engaged and involved with UCF for many years. He helped start the Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter in 2009 and when he moved back, helped start the College of Science alumni chapter and served as its first chair. Dr. Garcia then served on the Dean’s advisory board for the College of Science and has been on the board of UCF Alumni since 2016. He was selected as one of UCF’s ’30 Under 30’ in the 2015 inaugural class. Andre has recently been involved with the new Puerto Rico Research Hub at UCF as serves as its first board chair and is the recipient of the UCF College of Sciences 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award.

Andre has been married to his wife, Tina, for 6 years and they have a one year old son, William. They live in Lake Nona.
