Residential Life

Each residential facility houses approximately one hundred students, and are classified according to gender and age. Ninth and Tenth grade students are housed in one building while junior and senior students are housed in another building. The campus residential facilities make it easy for students to engage with one another, however, boys and girls residences are physically separated being on different parts of the campus. The purpose behind this housing arrangement is to allow students who have the same or similar hobbies to create relationships among themselves. However, both male and female students will have the ability to meet and congregate in common areas such as the food court, student lounge, and library. Each residential facility is equipped with a kitchen, student lounge and study rooms, including Suite Rooms for those students who wish to have a more personalized experience amongst a few friends.

Each living facility at ISSTA is distinctive. Greenhouses are strategically placed between residences where students can plant and grow vegetables and fruits, as well as other academic structures. Each facility houses several residential assistants to help students as needed. Students may also opt to receive Concierge Services in their residences such as: housekeeping, gourmet food delivery, medicine, dry cleaning, and other exceptional available services.

Students will have their own closet for personal items and all rooms are cleaned regularly. However, students do have the option of residing in Suite Rooms where certain electronic devices (iPads, and or computers) are provided along with grooming essentials. Should a student require hypoallergenic materials such as sheets or shampoo, ISSTA will provide such items at no extra fee to the student. Should a student want to take their lunch back from the food court, a refrigerator, microwave, and other amenities will be available in the residential room kitchen.
